Where do I work?
I am currently employed as a weight room attendant with the UNK Rec Department as well as a studio engineer at KRVN of Lexington producing games. Additionally I am self employed as a DJ for weddings, proms, and other events.
Why are you majoring in Journalism and minoring in Entrepreneurship?
I came to UNK originally to major in Pre-Physical Therapy after doing work study at Family Physical Therapy and Sports where I began learning physical therapy at a clinic and occupational therapy at a care home and elementary school. After being undecided for a time, going into my Junior year I chose to major in Journalism after being hired at KRVN. I chose to minor in Entrepreneurship because I came to UNK as part of the ELLC (Entrepreneurship Living and Learning Community) program and immediately began taking business classes which have helped me in starting my DJ Putty business.
Where do you live?
I currently reside in Kearney while attending UNK. I graduated from Minden in 2018 the Christmas City of Nebraska and coincidentally my favorite holiday.
What are your hobbies?
I love everything outdoor recreation from white water rafting to ziplining! Camping is my favorite activity and I enjoy camping along lakes and rivers in the summer to go fishing and boating as well as the winter when I am out hunting for the weekend. I enjoy music as well from concerts to clubs a big perk of djing and working with radio.
